On an equal footing right from the start

terra infrastructure Mittenwalde provides construction companies with steel and building machinery for special projects in civil engineering and harbour construction. HANSA-FLEX ensures the durability of the machine hydraulics.

Est. reading time is 4 minutes

terra infrastructure Mittenwalde and HANSA‑FLEX have been working together since 2023. Our branches, Industrial Service and Rapid Hydraulic Service work hand in hand to ensure that the customer’s more than 40 specialised civil engineering machines are operationally ready around the clock.

At night, floodlights illuminate the construction site on the edge of an industrial port. Work is being carried out practically around the clock to upgrade the infrastructure. Building workers, excavators and construction machinery are working non-stop to make the harbour ready for use again as quickly as possible. The soft, muddy ground and the water rising with the tide place extreme demands on the construction site. Without sheet piling, for example, no work could take place on the excavation site. Anchored deep in the ground, solid steel sections securely hold back the masses of water and earth. Among other things terra infrastructure in Mittenwalde, Brandenburg, rents and sells sheet steel piling and steel girders, which make the construction of harbours, dykes, rainwater retention basins and other specialist civil engineering projects possible in the first place. But how does the sheet piling, some of which weighs tonnes, actually get into the ground? This requires specialised equipment such as telescopic leaders, vibratory hammers and excavator-mounted vibratory hammers. The vibratory hammers and excavator-mounted vibratory hammers are manufactured by terra infrastructure under its own "Müller" brand, and are also rented and sold in Mittenwalde. These specialised machines are equipped with powerful HANSA‑FLEX hydraulics.

Expertise, reliability and service are the foundations of our collaboration. We have a partnership with HANSA‑FLEX that we will continue to expand and intensify in the coming years.

Tough work for the hydraulics

The operating conditions for the hydraulic systems of specialised civil engineering machines are challenging: the steel sections are driven into the ground by means of vibration, which depending on the ground conditions requires extreme forces. This means immense continuous pressure on the machine hydraulics. These hydraulic components are also exposed to the weather and all kinds of dust and dirt on a daily basis. This makes it all the more important to thoroughly check and carefully maintain the cylinders, power packs and hose lines when they are back at terra infrastructure in Mittenwalde. HANSA‑FLEX is accordingly entrusted with fitting the hose lines and maintaining the machines and power packs there, as well as carrying out the oil service operations. Hydraulic conversions on machines for special applications as well as the installation and testing of hydraulic measurement technology in the machine area are also part of the tasks of the HANSA‑FLEX Industrial Service on site.

On the same wavelength right from the start

Very high demands on materials and machines require an equally efficient partner when it comes to hydraulics. Since 2023 terra infrastructure has had a hydraulics partner in HANSA‑FLEX with a well-deserved reputation for technical expertise, fast and punctual delivery and maximum reliability. “We’re highly satisfied with HANSA‑FLEX as our new hydraulics partner," praises Benjamin Raschack, Team Leader Service Region EAST at the Mittenwalde branch of terra infrastructure GmbH. He adds: "HANSA‑FLEX has the high level of expertise that we require, and is always fast and reliable. This became apparent after just a few weeks when a machine broke down on a construction site. And of course it had to happen at the weekend. But that wasn’t a problem for the HANSA‑FLEX team from the Rapid Hydraulic Service. They were on site within an hour and the machine was back in operation another hour later." Although the partnership between HANSA‑FLEX and terra infrastructure is still in its infancy, it has been a good one right from the start. Both professionally and personally, the two companies are on the same wavelength and the mutual appreciation is very high. "terra infrastructure is a customer with great potential for us, which we would like to expand further. The collaboration between our two companies works brilliantly. We understand each other very well and have the same high standards of quality and service. That's why we have such a positive relationship," says Sylvia Seidel from HANSA‑FLEX Sales in the Grünheide, Spreenhagen and Vogelsdorf area. Benjamin Raschack also confirms that: "Trust, expertise, reliability and service are the foundations of our cooperation. We have a partnership with HANSA‑FLEX that we will continue to expand and intensify in the coming years." In Mittenwalde the basis is accordingly being laid for a long-term and fruitful collaboration to strengthen important infrastructure.
